Leeds City Books (Kirkgate market)

There are a number of people who have responded to the outreach after running the bookshop for some months. We have been able to link people to churches, share the gospel with some, see people join an Alpha course and many other witnessing opportunities. Good literature has gone out to people and the bible is still our best seller.

Outreach team (Middleton & city centre)

Pray for unity of the team, and increasing effectiveness in evangelism. People have responded in Middleton but pray for more people open their hearts to Jesus. Pray also for the ministry at the Crypt with St. George’s church in the city centre. Remember too those voluntary workers who visit the Police cells on Sundays.

Associate workers

Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out more workers into the harvest field. Pray for the existing people to find their niche in ministry.

The Future of Leeds City Mission

Monday 12th of October will be an important meeting of the board. Pray that as they make decisions for the future of the mission they will really know the mind of Christ and be led by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer networks

There are four locations around the city where the mission works in encouraging prayer. As we look to see change come in the city let’s ask God to challenge believers to join together in intercession.
